Drama in the Skies

I’ve been feeling really under the weather the past 2 weeks thus explaining the blog silence. It’s a sucky feeling. But this photo certainly brightened my day today. I like the fact that it’s dramatic and looks like a blend between a painting  and a photo. Quite surreal.

Shopping Galore

Everyone loves a GREAT bargain, especially me.

So how could I resist OG’s private sale with some items going at 50- 80% discount?

This morning, around 8 am, we joined the queue outside OG Orchard and hit the sale at 9 am with a vengence. Two hours later, we exited the store with armloads of super good deals, glad that we’re done and do not have to be part of the super super long queue that was snaking around the building perimeter.

Home at last

Being away from Hubs and Qi for 5 days and 4 nights wasn’t that unmanageable afterall in retrospect.  Just as long as I kept my days fully occupied with work and my evenings, shopping and good company.

However my heart still skipped a beat each time I saw someone carrying a baby and I would miss holding Qi’s cuddly lil frame in my arms.

Fortunately I had this pic of her in my hp to take me through those moments.

I believe mummies should never have to be separated from their babies. But it’s difficult to say no when duty calls. Thank God i have really good help and support here to take care of Qi while I’m away.

I’m glad to be home finally. The first thing I did when I reached home late last night was to kiss Qi, even though she was soundly asleep. And I made sure I woke earlier than her this morning so I could be by her bed when she woke up. I wanted to be the first person she saw when she opened her eyes. And thankfully, she still recognised me and patted my face with her chubby hands, squealing delightfully.

Hmm… I wonder if she even realised mummy had been away.

Eversince pregnancy and Qi’s birth, I’ve not had the luxury of indulging in uninterrupted photography moments. I kinda miss those times when me and my trusty 350D would explore the world leisurely. Photography has taught me to appreciate solitude and appreciate the resulting calm and balance that is often restored within my innerman. It’s therapeutic man.

And I got my fix this afternoon
