Baby's Blog
I read somewhere before that this pic could be fake. If you notice carefully, is it possible a baby’s arm is that long? And with pretty toned muscles? And that of a not fully formed baby?
Yes, it’s heartwarming to see a picture like that. But I’m skeptical about the authenticity of this pic
The picture is real. But the story that accompanies it is somewhat misrepresented. There are versions circulating that says the baby grabbed the surgeon’s finger and held on tightly. However according to the surgeon, the baby was under anesthesia during the operation so it could not have moved its arms, or even be aware of the what was happening around. However during the operation, the arm came out of the uterus and the surgeon was trying to put it back.
In my opinion, the arm looks “toned” because the foetus hasn’t put on much fat yet. heard that only happens at the last week of pregnancy.
gee I hate to say this, but I was a little gross out by the bloody picture initially, then I realised it was a baby’s hand, but where did it come out from, a uterus?
Yup a uterus. It was an intra-uterine operation to correct a serious deformity in the foetus. Quite amazing! At times like this, I’m so grateful for medical science.
