End in sight
Time passes by so fast.
This Friday would be the last prenatal lesson for us… and with that, a reminder of the the ever-nearing EDD. Has it been 6 weeks already?
Topic for this Friday: how to care for a newborn.
Prenatal classes are really very useful. I cannot imagine why some of my friends do not want to sign up for them.
Two lessons in particular that we found EXTREMELY useful were:
- What to expect during labour itself – this helps to alleviate stress from the unknown
- Common problems during breastfeeding and how to overcome them
True – these are things that you can read about in books and online, but nothing beats having a professional nurse / midwife explain them to you and take any questions you may have. Common misconceptions and old wife’s myths are cleared up too.
Me: dear, are you taking down all these notes? Coz I’m getting info overload liao.
Hubs: (weak smile) Er… Trying. Trying.
*kiss* Poor hubs. This is totally not in his element, but I do love him for trying and putting in the effort to go through this with me.
Though we’re far from being experts, being equipped with knowledge and having some form of mental preparation goes a long way in preparing us for labour and parenthood.
Signing off,
Prenatal Class Evangelist
Next task: Pack my hospital bag and prepare the nursery for Qiqi

Well, you have LMS on standby for questions relating to bfg.
DR > I know! And I have quite a lot of questions to ask LMS coz the antenatal lecturer was just overloading us with info, esp during the class of bfg. I left the room feeling a little dazed.
Nowadays don’t quite enjoy reading blogs. There are too many short words, such as LMS lah, bfg lah, EDD lah, may be old lah
Heye Foleon > LMS means Lil Ms Snooze, bfg means breastfeeding, EDD means Estimated Due Date.
